Our Story
Captain Dan Stewart
There is a story that my dad tells me often. When I was a little kid, probably around 4 or 5, I once spent a whole weekend during a father/son church retreat down on the dock trying to catch bluegills with a band aid and a string, no hook. Since then I have figured out you needed to hook to catch fish :P When my parents bought me my first Truck, I was headed fishing just about every single open minute. Then I got into college and if I was not in class of coarse, I was on the river or the Great Lakes. I basically live on the water chasing fish. I often tell people I went to college to become a fisherman. Since then, I have guided Salmon trips on the world famous Kenai River in Alaska and also guided deer hunts in a high fence ranch. I taught snowboarding at Crystal Mountain. I majored in Outdoor Recreation at Central Michigan University. I have been working for some of the top charter companies the past 5 year and now own my own Sportfishing Company. I basically was training to be a fishing captain for many years without ever knowing it. Now I run Michigan Walleye Fishing Charters April - June on Detroit River and Lake St. Clair. I am also very fortuant to work with some of the top charter companies in this state and will provide my services to them from time to time. I am very patient and laid back with my guest. I love to talk fishing with just about everyone. Being on the water is my passion and I call it my healthy drug. It would be my pleasure to share a day on the water with you. I will teach you all that I know and try to get you into as many fish as possible. This is your day on the water and I will do everything I can to send you home with stories and fish to share with friends and family. |
